Shield bracers show red & appear to be unusable, but they can actually be equipped.  However, any activatable abilities on them are not usable.

This is likely a 2da setting, but I'm not familiar with which 2da this would be in.

Haven't figured this one out yet. All the settings in baseitems.2da are identical to regular bracers (except for the type of AC bonus they give when equipped). Might be part of the weird hardcoded limitations to additional item types (that will hopefully be fixed by Beamdog in NWN:EE).
